What if my child is afraid of water or has special needs?We suggest starting with our Private Lessons. To give your child the best support, please fill out the form on that page and helps us understand their needs before we reach out.

What is your cancellation policy?Group Lessons For group lessons, please cancel and reschedule at least 24 hours in advance through our booking app. Late cancellations incur a $15 fee, but your original lesson fee will be retained for use in a makeup session. Private Lessons If you need to cancel or reschedule a private lesson, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance online or by contacting customer service. Late cancellations incur a $30 fee for a 30-minute lesson or $45 for a 45-minute lesson, covering the pool rental. The lesson fee itself will not be charged.

How do I choose the right class for my child?If your child is between 3 and 4.5 years old, we recommend the Discovery class, which is ideal for toddlers who are new to swimming. For children aged 5 and older who are still gaining confidence in the water, the Starter class is a great choice. For those who are comfortable going underwater and require stroke development, we offer advanced classes. For more information and to book a free trial class, please visit our Group Lesson page!

When can my child start swimming lessons?Little swimmers can begin swimming lessons as early as 6 months old, and many local pools provide complimentary baby classes to help them get accustomed to the water. At Joyous Swim School, we accept students starting from the age of 3 and older, ensuring that children of various ages can develop their swimming skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.

How long will it take for my child to become a confident swimmer?It typically takes about 3 to 4 terms for a child to become a confident swimmer, depending on their abilities and consistency of attendance.

What is your refund policy?Group Lessons Group lessons are transferable to another person but are non-refundable. Private Lessons Private lessons are transferable to another person. If you cannot attend due to medical reasons, your pass can be extended by 3 months. If you need a refund due to unavoidable circumstances, such as relocation, one lesson fee will be deducted as an administrative fee.
